Kindergarten Registration Information!
Children who are five years old on or before August 1st are eligible to attend our kindergarten program. Unless a child successfully completes a kindergarten program, s(he) is not permitted to enter the first grade.
Intradistrict Transfers
The district's intradistrict enrollment policy is in compliance with the state law, which requires school districts to establish limited transfer opportunities within the school system. Transfer decisions are based on building and grade level capacities and other established criteria. Preference for enrollment in any particular school is given to students living in the school’s established attendance boundaries. If the transfer request is granted, student transportation will be the responsibility of the parent or guardian. Transfer decisions for special education purposes continue to be based on state regulations. All approvals for intradistrict enrollment will be reviewed annually. Therefore, parents or guardians whose intradistrict transfer requests were approved for the previous school year must reapply if they wish to continue sending their child to a Maumee school other than their school of residence.
Application forms for district residents are available at all elementary buildings or the Board of Education office. All completed applications should be sent to the Maumee Board of Education, 716 Askin St., Maumee, OH 43537
