All Students Can Receive Free School Lunch & Breakfast - Now Through End of 2020-21 School Year
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the U.S. Department of Agriculture has extended nationwide waivers permitting schools that are part of the federal free & reduced-price meal program to provide all students with a free breakfast and lunch every school day for the rest of this school year. All Maumee City Schools students will be able to participate, regardless of income. Parents of Maumee Virtual Participants ( MPVs) are able to pick up meals weekly on Mondays at Gateway Middle School. MVP parents need to register their children for weekly meal pickup. The Food Service Department will coordinate this directly with parents. Students attending in-person classes do not need to be registered for meals. Breakfast and lunch are available each day. Students may, of course, still pack a lunch and bring it to school.
Free and reduced-price breakfasts and lunches are available for those students whose families meet income eligibility guidelines. There are two ways to complete a school meal application: by using the Online School Meal Application or by printing and completing a Paper School Meal Application. Paper applications must be mailed or taken to the Food Service Department at 950 Cass Road, Maumee, OH 43537 (adjacent to the bus garage) or turned in at the student’s school office.
